In 2016, the ACA Conference & Expo was held in partnership with the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association.
All attendees were encouraged to make their voices heard. 2017ĪCA’s 65 th annual conference was an opportunity to protect the integrity of the counseling profession and the essential roles counselors play in communities nationwide.
Counseling peers from all walks of life collaborated, grew and recharged together. Looking toward a brighter future, attendees at the 2018 Conference & Expo took advantage of powerful learning opportunities, including a series for grad students and new professionals only. 2019Īt the 2019 Conference & Expo, attendees were provided access to the highest quality resources and training, opportunities to advocate for the counseling profession and occasions to share how they have helped others. Though cancelled in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Conference & Expo would have offered CE credits for 36 topic-focused tracks in hot topics for counselors and clients alike – including ethics, trauma, suicide, anxiety, grief, multicultural counseling, and more. 2020 - CANCELLEDīreakthrough for Yourself, Your Profession & Your Clients In addition, those who attended had access to the content on-demand through the end of May 2021. Attendees were able to access on-demand content 24/7, wherever they were, whenever they could. 2021ĭue to COVID restrictions, the ACA Conference went virtual providing attendees with a monthlong Virtual Conference Experience (VCE). This year was the first time in two years the counseling community got the chance to connect face-to-face in Atlanta, Georgia from April 7-9. The American Counseling Association Conference & Expo is the premier professional development and networking event for licensed professional counselors, students and mental health professionals.
